The Friday Night Mix was born back in 1985 on KSKA 91.1, and it has the distention of being Alaska's first live radio mix show. Something that I am very proud of. I do the majority of the mixing on the show, but always show love to local DJ's in Alaska who have skills.  Through out the years some of Alaska's finest DJ's have blessed the tables, DJ King Trixx, DJ Solo, DJ Greg Rock, The World Famous Hank Fresh, T-Smooth, Prophet of Soul, Doc Savage, DJ Freestyle, Frankie Scissor Hands, and the list goes on.  We try not to play too much commercial music, and basically keep it street representing real hip hop and real R&B. The show moved to KNBA 90.3 about 7 years ago, and shows no signs of slowing down.

 Life long tribute to Jam Master Jay we miss you!

JMJ Tribute: I had the pleasure of meeting Jason Mizell aka Jam Master Jay, when Run DMC performed here in Anchorage, and later at a DJ convention in Atlanta and right now I am crushed. All I can tell you is this guy was so down to earth and had no ego at all. As of todays date, they have not found who killed him.  If you love Run DMC like I do, and if you feel JMJ like I do every time you think about him go ahead and say, "God damn, that DJ made my day!"

Jay's like King Midas, as I was told,
everything that he touched turned to gold.
He's the greatest of the great, get it straight he's great.
Claim fame cause his name is known in every state.
